Serephione's plans to live quietly and avoid the plot of the game she's now living were going well 。 。 。 until suddenly everything falls apart。 Another holy beast appears， and this one is an enemy。 Forced to flee， she must carve out a place for herself in some other country。This feels rather uneven。 The core of the plot remains pretty good。 Serephione's plans getting challenged feels like a good move to get her out into the wider world， and dealing with other people's issues instead of her own。 Serephione's plans to live quietly and avoid the plot of the game she's now living were going well 。 。 。 until suddenly everything falls apart。 Another holy beast appears， and this one is an enemy。 Forced to flee， she must carve out a place for herself in some other country。This feels rather uneven。 The core of the plot remains pretty good。 Serephione's plans getting challenged feels like a good move to get her out into the wider world， and dealing with other people's issues instead of her own。 Her plans to support herself usually end up somewhat comical， as she doesn't have the best grasp of her own strength。 Mixed in with that are the few pieces that feel utterly serious， like her growing relationship with Gillian。On the other hand， the "fan club" segments felt like a complete waste of space。 Some of the comedy， again， goes so far out there I just can't find it funny， although the more serious plot driving most of the book means the overreactions at least felt less important than they were in the first book。Overall， if you enjoyed the first book， read this one。 I rate this book Recommended。 。。。more
